Disbarred lawyer and former Democratic congressional candidate sentenced for taking advantage of former client

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Disbarred lawyer and former Democratic congressional candidate Justin Nadeau is headed to prison for taking advantage of a former client who had suffered a traumatic brain injury.

On Monday a judge sentenced Nadeau to a total of 7½ to 15 years, plus a consecutive sentence of 2½ to 5 years, after being convicted on April 1st on a number of charges ranging from theft by deception to financial exploitation of a disabled adult, to falsification of evidence and forgery.

According to court documents in Augst of 2018 Nadeau convinced his client to loan him $275,000 under false pretenses and then convinced the induvial to give him a second loan in December of 2018 but then tried to conceal his conduct from authorities.
