Disbarred lawyer found guilty of financially exploiting a former client

MANCHESTER, N.H.- Disbarred lawyer and former Democratic congressional candidate Justin Nadeau has been found guilty on multiple felonies for obtaining loans totaling $275,000 from a former client who suffered a traumatic brain injury.

According to court documents, on Wednesday Nadeau was found guilty of theft by deception, financial exploitation of an impaired adult, forgery and falsifying physical evidence when he obtained a pair of loans from a now former client who suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2018.

Officials note that Nadeau also attempted to conceal his misconduct from the Attorney General’s office.

Following the verdict Nadeau is scheduled to be sentenced on June 22, 2026.
