MANCHESTER, N.H.- Retired New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbra Hantz Marconi has admitted to violating the state’s ethics code, following an investigation brought against her, related to her conversations with former Gov. Chris Sununu and others about the criminal investigation into her husband Geno Marconi.

On Wednesday Hantz Marconi admitted under oath that the conversation gave off the appearance of impropriety, which also puts an end to the investigation into her actions however the retired justice won’t face any sort of discipline actions following this conclusion.

During Wednesday’s proceedings Marconi admitted that her conversation with Sununu was ill-advised and probably shouldn’t have happened.

The most recent investigation conducted by the State’s Judicial Conduct Committee, came after Hantz Marconi pleaded no contest to a criminal misdemeanor charge in October of 2025 for approaching Sununu after her husband was suspended from the Pease Development Authority and the impact the case could have on her judicial career.
