NAHSUA- A couple has been charged in the death of their 3-month-old child.

According to Police 24-year-old Xorrel Cabrera, and 32-year-old Jasmine Cedar-Fultz were taken into custody Wednesday as authorities say they failed to get the child the proper medical attention prior to its death, for what was later determined to be Septic shock, which is seen as a treatable disease.

An autopsy showed the child died on October in of 2024, but there were no signs of foul play, as Police say they found the couple on their way to a hospital after they say the child had been throwing up black and red bile for a few weeks, from there police say First responders answered a call for help and attempt life saving measures, but were unsuccessful, which lead to the child being taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center where the child was pronounced dead.

Police note at the time of their arrest there was another child in their care, which has since been placed in the custody of Division of Children, Youth and Families.

Following their arraignment Thursday Cabrera was ordered held without bail, while a judge set bail for Cedar-Fultz at $2,000.
