MANCHESTER, N.H.- The National Transportation Safety Board says a crash of a twin-engine cargo plane that took off from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in January 2024 was a attributed to human error.

According to the report released in March, the probable cause of the accident was the pilot’s failure to ensure the cockpit door was secured before flight, resulting in its separation during the initial climb and a subsequent loss of aircraft control.

The pilot, only identified as a 50, year-old man with a commercial and flight instructor certificates was seriously injured, and the aircraft was substantially damaged when it crashed about 5 feet from a detached garage on Colonial Drive in Londonderry.
