CONCORD, NH – City leaders in Concord are voicing concerns over the unsafe conditions of the track at Memorial Field. Officials are exploring was to deal with nearly $400,000 in repairs to Memorial Field including removal of the bleachers.
This past November following an inspection of the track it was deemed unsafe for competition forcing Concord’s middle and High School teams to overhaul their schedules.
According to City Officials, the track will remain open for community use but not for competitions.
A decision by the City Council on the cost of repairs is expected next month and will require a two-thirds majority vote and a public hearing.
