HAMPTON, N.H.- The first real hot day of the season ended up requiring a full police response after some folks looking to escape the rain became unruly, which led to a number of fights breaking out.
According to Police once the rain moved in, people sought cover under nearby awnings, and during that time Police say tempers flared as a number of fights broke out between C and D Streets.
As a result, State Police in full tactical gear from the Special Events Response Team responded, to help local police with what was described as an unlawful assembly.
Out of the incident Police several people were taken into custody and charged with rioting, and while some injuries were reported, none were considered serious.
