From NH State Police:
On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at approximately 5:57 am, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop-A Barracks responded to a rollover motor vehicle crash on the Spaulding Turnpike southbound at the Dover toll plaza.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Honda Civic was traveling southbound when the operator, identified as Kurt Roth, age 46, of Kittery Point, ME, lost control of his vehicle. This resulted in the vehicle striking the cement barrier at the toll plaza and subsequently rolling over, coming to a final rest within the toll lane.
Roth sustained non-life threatening injuries and was cleared at the scene by medical personnel.
Driver fatigue appears to be a possible contributing factor in this crash. However, all aspects of this collision remain under investigation by the NH State Police.
One toll lane remained closed for approximately 1 hour while Troopers investigated the crash. There was minimal impact to traffic as a result. Additionally, there was minimal damage to the toll plaza.
The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by the Dover Fire Department and the NH Department of Transportation.
Anyone with information pertaining to this crash is asked to contact Trooper Matthew Bailey, NH State Police, Troop-A at (603) 223-8490, or via email at matthew.bailey@dos.nh.gov.
