CONCORD, N.H.- With the end of the fiscal year approaching the heads of six state agencies seeking funding for their various projects made their requests to be included in the next capital budget cycle.

In a hearing Tuesday State officials filed requests for pair of new courthouses in Salem at a cost of $23 million, the replacement of streamlines at the Men’s prison in Concord priced at $3 million and an effort to strengthen the state’s cyber security defenses.

Ahead of the hearing Governor Kelly Ayotte addressed those in attendance and reminded the agency heads of the importance of living within our means as the demand for funding continues to outweigh the funds available; ” We can’t control everything…. We have one important thing we can control, our fiscal discipline.

The fiscal year comes to an end on July 1,2026.
