MANCHESTER.N.H.- State Health officials have confirmed there have been 33 cases of Cyclosporiasis reported in New Hampshire this year, a majority of which reportedly originated from the cafeteria of Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.
A spokesperson for Dartmouth Health has confirmed that 24 of the 30 people with confirmed cases of the illness were induvials who ate at the hospital salad bar, which included 18 employees.
State Health officials note that Cyclosporiasis can arise from consuming unwashed produce and causes watery diarrhea, fatigue, dehydration, nausea, and vomiting, which has resulted in in two people being hospitalized while three of the reported cases were connected with international travel.
