MANCHESTER, N.H.- The New Hampshire Supreme Court has ordered a lower court to re-examine evidence used in the trail of Logan Clegg, the man convicted of killing Steven and Wendy Reid in 2022.

On Tuesday the high court agreed with Clegg’s attorney who said police obtained Clegg’s cellphone data in order to locate him in Vermont without following the proper procedures for a warrant.

Police had testified that they had an immediate need to identify Clegg’s location as they say he was preparing to flee the US and head to Germany and though that waiting for a warrant could take weeks.

Following this decision the New Hapshire Attorney General’s office released a statement saying they’re reviewing the decision.

Clegg is currently severing a sentenced to 50 years to life in prison after being found guilty of shooting Steven and Wendy while the pair was walking along a trail in Concord.
