MANCHESTER, N.H.- A teen from Rochester is facing charges after he crashed through a fence at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease and hit a plane while trying to get away from police.
Authorities say Saturday night around 8 p.m. the 17-year-old was fleeing from a state trooper and drove through a fence on the South Side of Portsmouth International Airport, then crashed his vehicle into an empty privately owned plane parked off the runway leaving the both the plane and vehicle damage.
Police also note the Pease Fire Department was able to identify and address a fuel leak before any other damage occurred.
Following this incident the teen was taken into custody and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, disobeying a police officer, conduct after an accident, and reckless driving and is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 9,2026.
Officials note that no other injuries were reported.
