Two men facing federal charges for kidnapping woman and holding her in Vermont

CONCORD, N.H. – Two men have been charged with kidnapping a woman in New Hampshire and then taking her to Vermont where she was held against her will, beaten and tortured.

According to court documents, Damarcus Bonner, 30, and Tyron Harris, 27, allegedly abducted the woman in Claremont during a drug deal in January and then took her to a home in Springfield, Vermont, where was beaten and held against her will, with the two men demanding a ransom.

Police were able to rescue the woman and place the two men into custody. Police note that an investigation of the scene revealed drugs, a firearm and duct tape.

Following their arrest, Bonner and Harris were both charged with kidnapping and kidnapping conspiracy.

If convicted the two men could face life in prison.
