MANCHESTER, N.H.- Authorities say two residents and a State Trooper were recently injured in an incident at the Sununu Youth Services Center.
According to the Department of Safety on Thursday evening State Police were called into help with two residents who were threatening themselves and others in the facility with improvised weapons.
In an attempt to stabilize the situation, one of the troopers was bitten and struck in the head.
Out of the ordeal the two residents also suffered what were described as “superficial” injuries.
One of the residents and the trooper were taken to an area hospital, while the other was evaluated by a nurse on site.
Officials note that the troopers were wearing body cameras during the incident, as part of the state’s efforts to improve safety at the facility.
